Fair Play: Please do not link direct to any of the download links! Please link only to this forum page. If you do not obey this fair play rule, we may end up like many other sites and need to take off the links.

Haynes English manual http://tinyurl.com/6wfc9

Bucheli German manual http://tinyurl.com/43w9q

A note to this manual: It has a couple of mistakes. For example it mentions wrong spark plugs, sometimes wrong torque values, the turning direction of the engine is wrong, etc.. It is good for its electrical circuit schemes, some of the other tables, and may be some basic maintenance works. But if you need a reliable resource, then buy the original workshop manual. It costs more but it is so much better.

Thanks also to the admin of the German V-Strom Forum  Joerg pointing the mistakes.

Haynes vs. Suzuki: Is one manual obviously better than the other?

I've downloaded the Suzi but I'll probably end up buying one or the other as trying to read an electronic manual while up to my elbows in grease is not very workable.

Great.
Did i understand this correct if this manual works 100% for my brand new DL1000 K7  ?

I also found a website (http://www.mikeschinkel.com/Motorcycles/V-Strom/) with pdf's from service manual for DL1000 K2, does that one also 100% work for my DL1000 K7 ?

An 05 and up manual would be mostly correct. But to have one fully correct you need an 07 manual. A lot of differences between the 02 and yours.

Hmm, i was afraid you'd say that.

Contacted my local suzuki-dealer (in sweden) and asked for such a service manual, but all he gave me was a big questionmark in his face. I got the impression he almost didnt know what i ment so....

He would call me back, but that was some weeks ago now.

The best would be if there was some kind of suzuki OEM-dealer on the web, and you just entered your chassinumber and all parts for just that bike would appear.
Klick - order - pay - smile.

There are a lot of them, but all US based as far as I know.

Example: http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?category=Motorcycles&make=Suzuki&year=2007&fveh=10125

This is the part number for the 02-06 DL1000 English version. They don't have the 07 listed yet: 99500-39231-03E

Another alternative delivered to you for $50 USD.

They are out there, I've had one for almost a year. May be a different # in the UK though.

Followed the link to purchase this manual.  Indicates it is through K7.  Is it applicable (or 98% applicable) to K8?  Thanks,

There is a link to the K8 header on that page. http://www.repairmanual.com/motorcycles/2007/62/0/19425/17608

It's the same part so procedures are the same for both years. The K8 has some different parts, mainly electrical, but they would seem to be installed the same way.

Here's an updated source for parts and pdfs:
They have their company name in grey type across the pages but they are still quite useful.
