Very interested in favourable comments about Madstad with Suzuki stock screen but how tall are you guys?  I have only just started biking but at 6ft 4ins my head is getting knocked sideways at even moderate speeds.   I am not sure if it is my new helmet (Shark RSR), the fact that it has been fairly windy here in the UK or the bike. Tongue in cheek could we have another poll for riders over 6ft?

I, too, am 6'4" and used to run the stock+madstad. It worked well. I adjusted the screen as high as possible and about 1/2 inclined. If the adjusts loosened and the screen leaned back, I would get buffeting.

Before I put on the new Givi, I tried almost all positions with the stock bracket to see what I had been missing (my used bike came with the madstad). And I tried the stock bracket with the Givi. All combos were miserable. The madstad is a must.

I am now using the Givi and like it a lot, except for the "melt your dash" thing, but I seem to have addressed that with a Pat Walsh radar shelf: http://11109.rapidforum.com/topic=109966831941

Undecided I have Madstads with the Givi and the adjustment will not hold a forward angle setting at fast highway speeds (75-80 mph.) The combination of vibration, air pressure, and leverage eventually presses the Madstads towards the back of the adjustment slot, no matter how hard I crank down the screws. Anyone else have this problem?

Yup, but it is no big deal to me. I upgraded my old wingnut fasteners to the new knob jobs. It is easy enough to push the screen forward and retighten at stoplights/signs. Haven't spent much time on the interstate, so might be more annoying then.
